The Orlanthi are the "barbarian" people of Dragon Pass and environs. They are farmers and warriors who value their independence. The Orlanthi worship a pantheon of temperamental deities ruled by the storm god Orlanth and the earth goddess Ernalda, but they also know of spirit speakers.
